Travelling to Antalya for a conference, work or a holiday? Dr. Cem Özlük, a urologist in private practice in Lara, provides consultations for men's urological and sexual health concerns. If you are considering a procedure, the first step is to establish whether it is appropriate and how any necessary follow-up would fit around your travel.

What can be discussed at a urology appointment
Not every concern needs a procedure. A consultation may be used to understand symptoms, review previous tests, examine relevant findings and decide whether further investigation or treatment is needed.
General Urology and Urinary Concerns
Urinary frequency, difficulty passing urine, prostate-related concerns, testicular symptoms and other men’s urological issues can be discussed during a consultation. The examination and any tests depend on the symptoms and medical history rather than a standard package.
Erectile Dysfunction and Ejaculatory Concerns
Problems with erections or ejaculation may have vascular, hormonal, neurological, medication-related or psychological contributors. Assessment can help identify possible causes and explain which treatments may be suitable. A visitor can arrange a consultation without committing to medication or a procedure.
Genital Warts, HPV and Infection Concerns
Genital lesions, suspected HPV-related warts, discharge or possible genital or urinary infections may require examination and, in some cases, tests. Treatment depends on the findings. Some conditions require repeat visits or follow-up after the initial assessment.
Adult Circumcision
Adult circumcision may be considered for certain medical conditions or following an informed personal request. Before an operation can be planned, a urological assessment is needed to discuss the indication, anaesthesia, risks, appropriate surgical setting, recovery and follow-up arrangements. The length of the operation is not the same as the healing period, which may extend over several weeks.
Penile Hyaluronic Acid Filler
Hyaluronic acid filler is an elective procedure discussed in the context of penile shaft girth. It does not treat erectile dysfunction or permanently enlarge the erectile bodies. Suitability, realistic expectations, potential complications and post-procedure review need to be assessed before deciding whether to proceed. A single visit cannot guarantee that treatment is appropriate.

Surgery and injectable procedures require a separate decision about suitability, recovery, possible complications and where follow-up care will take place after you return home.
For adult circumcision, wound healing generally takes weeks rather than days. For penile filler and other interventions, the recommended observation and follow-up arrangements depend on the individual treatment. Please do not assume that a planned return flight or conference schedule makes a procedure medically suitable.
How to arrange an appointment

- Confirm the consultation details. The team can provide available appointment information, communication options and directions. If there are particular preparation requirements, these will be explained in advance.
- Discuss the next step with the doctor. Following the clinical assessment, you can discuss findings, further tests, possible treatment and any follow-up that may be needed while in Türkiye or after returning home.

Can I request a urology appointment while visiting Antalya?
Yes. Please contact the practice with your preferred dates and a general enquiry topic. Appointment availability will be confirmed by the team.
Can I have an examination and a procedure on the same day?
This cannot be guaranteed. Some concerns can be assessed at one appointment, but investigations, informed consent, appropriate facilities and aftercare may require separate visits. A procedure is considered only when clinically appropriate.
Can adult circumcision be arranged during a short conference trip?
The surgical assessment can be discussed before travel, but the decision to operate depends on clinical findings, the surgical setting and an appropriate recovery and follow-up plan. Healing commonly takes several weeks. Please discuss your departure date before making surgical arrangements.
Can I discuss erectile dysfunction without choosing a treatment in advance?
Yes. A first consultation focuses on symptoms, relevant medical history and possible causes. Treatment options, where appropriate, can be discussed afterwards.
Do I need to send genital photographs or medical records through WhatsApp?
